A simple bold Sunsum print designed by Wanda Lephoto, converted into a pdf file sent to a friend Allen Coleman on WhatsApp to be received by women in Ghana, often working organically outside their homes, on the side of the streets or in markets weaving textiles that reflect human resilience and ingenuity, that mirror soul and Sunsum.

Woven, finished and sent back again through another process reliant on hands and spirit, not shipped perfectly through large docking ships filled with boxes in containers but rather, enough fabric to fit one suitcase, enough to make a handful of garments, slowing down the process of fashion to be flown into South Africa no longer as a vector file but proof of human touch, human connection and human community.
